OTTAWA, Sept. 16, 2016 /CNW/ - Media representatives are advised that the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, will deliver opening remarks regarding the importance of birds for Canadians during the Great Canadian National Bird Debate, an initiative of the Canadian Geographic magazine and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. The National Bird Project is inviting a group of experts to debate so as to choose an official bird for Canada by 2017. The debate will be broadcast live.
