Media Advisory - The School of Public Policy to Release Comprehensive New Report on Preventative Health Care and Savings to AHS

CALGARY, Jan. 20, 2015 Media are invited to join Prof. Herb Emery for the release of a major new report that provides solid evidence that preventative health programs work to reduce health care costs – especially when it comes to hospital admissions.  The paper is not theoretical, it examines hard data on real-world preventive health programs.  The results will indicate that there are programs that could substantially reduce health care costs and improve the sustainability of Alberta's publicly funded health care system.
