The Canadian Cancer Society warns again that the real price of tanning is permanent skin damage and possible skin cancer
MONTREAL, June 13, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Skin cancer is the most common cancer in Canada: around 30,000 new cases will be diagnosed in Quebec this year. Since 1990, the incidence of melanoma, the deadliest type of skin cancer, has more than doubled in Canada.
WHAT: | The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) will be at La Ronde this week to invite youths to have their photos taken with its mobile UV Photomaton (a special camera which reveals the real and permanent skin damage caused by UV rays). We will take this opportunity to convey to them the CCS's prevention messages related to tanning, UV rays, and skin cancer. |
