Media Advisory - Their Excellencies to Participate in Youth Summit on Mental Health Wellness at St. Michael's High School Français
OTTAWA, April 28, 2017 /CNW/ - Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will participate in the Youth Summit on Mental Health Wellness at St. Michael's High School in Low, Quebec, during which Her Excellency will deliver remarks, on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 12:45 p.m.
In her remarks Her Excellency will speak about the importance of mental health services for youth in the community. Afterwards, Their Excellencies will participate in a workshop and meet with students and teachers from the school.
About the Youth Summit on Mental Health Wellness
St. Michael's High School has partnered with local organizations Be and Become and Grace Connexions, to educate and support youth in mental health and anti-stigma issues during this one-day summit. The summit will feature a variety of guest speakers and workshops on such topics as depression, cultural diversity, body image and bullying.
The summit will only be open to the media at 12:45 p.m. for the duration of Her Excellency Sharon Johnston's remarks.
