Media Advisory - Threats to global energy security on agenda of high-level
meeting in Calgary
CALGARY, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - The School of Public Policy and the Canada School of Energy and Environment are pleased to host the inaugural Nexen Global Roundtable on Energy, Environment and Economy tomorrow. The event is a full day of in camera discussion with select leaders in government and business focussed on the issue of threats to energy security.
While media are not permitted in the conference itself, Dr. Jack Mintz, director of The School of Public Policy and Bruce Carson, director of the Canada School of Energy and Environment, will be available at a brief media conference to discuss the issues at hand, the goal of the roundtable, the serious threats that exist to energy security worldwide, and the policies that Alberta and Canada must consider to define and deal with risks to energy supply.
