Media Advisory - Tomorrow - Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger to Address CAW Skilled Trades Council
WINNIPEG, May 31, 2012 /CNW/ - Manitoba NDP Premier Greg Selinger will address the CAW Skilled Trades Council meeting tomorrow evening, on June 1, at the Fairmont Winnipeg, downtown.
Premier Selinger will speak at 8 p.m. CT and is expected to discuss current challenges and what he sees as the future direction of the province.
CAW President Ken Lewenza will deliver his speech at 6 p.m. CT and will address the current new union discussions between the CAW and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP) as well as growing income inequality and other challenges facing the union.

The Skilled Trades Council brings together more than 100 skilled trades workers from across Canada to discuss issues related to employment in the trades, apprenticeships and associated topics.
The Council kicks off on June 1 at 5 p.m. and continues until June 3.
The CAW represents approximately 24,000 skilled trades workers right across the country.
