Elite athletes share their stories and challenges at one-day symposium November 8
TORONTO, Nov. 6, 2014 /CNW/ - The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015), CIBC and the City of Toronto will be co-hosting Game Changers, a one-day symposium on Saturday, November 8 at Metro Hall. The conference will feature prominent community members and local athletes, including Olympian and Pan Am medallist Marnie McBean, workshops and panel discussions highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion in sport.
Game Changes will also include former Toronto Raptors Jamaal Magloire, Olympic and Pan Am hurdler Perdita Felicien and Paralympian wheelchair racer Josh Cassidy who will share their experiences of breaking existing barriers in the world of sport, and how the TORONTO 2015 Games will leave a lasting legacy throughout the region.
