MEDIA ADVISORY - Toronto Board of Trade to Launch Municipal Election Platform
TORONTO, Sept. 8 /CNW/ - The Toronto Board of Trade will launch its VoteToronto2010.com municipal election platform on Monday, September 13, at 10 a.m.
With only seven weeks left until Torontonians elect a new mayor and choose a new path for Toronto, the Board of Trade will unveil its final recommendations to municipal candidates. Recommendations will focus on the four key themes the Board of Trade identified in the VoteToronto2010.com kick-off document, Vote Toronto 2010 - Framework for a Better City:
- Fixing the City's Finances
- Growing the City and Regional Economy
- Promoting Social Cohesion and Economic Inclusion, and
- Improving Civic Democracy
Since November 2009, the Board of Trade has been leading and framing the municipal election debate through VoteToronto2010.com.
