Media Advisory - Toronto Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Chief Bruce Farr
will speak to the media about the findings in the Ministry of Health and Long
Term Care report regarding the provision of ambulance service to Alexander
Street, June 25, 2009

TORONTO , Oct. 8 /CNW/ - Toronto EMS Chief & General Manager Bruce Farr will update the media on the findings and recommendations of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care investigation regarding ambulance service to this call. He will make a statement reviewing the findings and recommendations of the report including the actions taken to date. His remarks will be followed by a question and answer session. Mr. Joseph Pennachetti , City Manager, will also be present to make a statement.

After the news conference, Chief Farr will speak to the media by appointment only.

    
    When:   Thursday, October 8

    Where:  Toronto EMS Headquarters, 4330 Dufferin Street, in the ground
            floor atrium.
            There is no entrance to Headquarters off Dufferin Street -- you
            must enter off Lodestar Road.

    Time:   1:30 p.m. Media invited to review the report recommendations
            prior to the conference

            2:00 p.m. Press Conference

    Parking: In the church parking lot north of headquarters on the west side
    of the dead end circle at the end of Lodestar Road. The closest subway
    stop is Downsview Station.

    How to enter Headquarters: When leaving the church parking lot onto
    Lodestar find the second driveway leading past the ambulance garage and
    you will approach at the end of the drive a circular drive going past the
    front door. Enter there and check in with security for your pass.
