Media Advisory - Toronto Hydro puts Grade 9's to work at Take Our Kids To Work day

WHAT	Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited ("Toronto Hydro") is hosting the 12th annual Take Our Kids to Work™ day. Grade 9 students will learn the 'ins and outs' of the business by participating in sessions including fleet operations, electrical awareness, driver training, emergency preparedness and engineering.

WHY	Last year, Toronto Hydro was recognized in the Learning Partnership Canada's Outstanding Employers Award, which champions Take Our Kids to Work. Through programs such as Take Our Kids to Work day, Toronto Hydro stresses the importance of education.  Collaboration with the educational system has helped to build awareness of apprenticeships and technical job opportunities to address aging workforce challenges.
