Media Advisory - Toronto International Women's Day Rally and March to take place on March 8
TORONTO, March 6, 2014 /CNW/ - Thousands of women will march through the downtown streets on Saturday March 8 in Toronto's annual International Women's Day demonstration, one of Toronto's largest and most diverse events.
Organized by the coalition group Women Working with Immigrant Women, this year's theme is "Women Taking Power" demanding a $14 an hour minimum wage, respect for public services and fairness for young women who struggle to find decent jobs and housing, many burdened by high student debt.
