Media Advisory - Toronto's Black community demonstrate in solidarity with Eric Garner, Ferguson Protestors
TORONTO, Dec. 12, 2014 /CNW/ - On Saturday, December 13, members of Toronto's Black community will join demonstrations occurring around the world in protest against anti-Black racism and police brutality. The demonstration will demand justice for Eric Garner, an unarmed man killed by the New York Police Department. The demonstration will also demand justice for Jermaine Carby, gunned down by Peel Region Police on September 24, 2014, and countless other Black community members who have been wrongfully gunned down by law enforcement in suspicious circumstances.
WHAT: Peaceful demonstration & protest against police brutality and anti-Black racism

PLACE: Nathan Phillips Square
The protest is organized by Black Lives Matter Toronto, a coalition of concerned Black community members, activists, students, youth, and professionals from all parts of the city.
