MEDIA ADVISORY - Tour de Force 2010 - An exhilarating cycling tour in support
of military families
MONTREAL, Sept. 15 /CNW Telbec/ - 15 business people are trading their business suits and ties for cyclist jerseys in order to take part in the Tour de Force 2010, a 500km cycling trip from Toronto to Montreal. The group is expected to arrive in Montréal at the Black Watch Garrison (2067 Bleury St.) on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
Tour de Force is organized by the charitable organization Canada Company and is aimed at raising money in support of military families. The proceeds of the Tour de Force will go towards Canada Company's Scholarship Fund which provides the children of fallen Canadian soldiers financial assistance for their post-secondary education.
The cyclists left the Air Canada Centre in Toronto September 10, for a 7 day tour broken into seven 85 kilometres intervals.
Among the cyclist who volunteered is Rob Grohn president of North American Van Lines and 14 other influencial business leaders.
Canada Company is a non-profitable charitable organization that was launched in 2006. Their mandate is to support Canadian troops and their families. Canada Company has over 200 members which includes high profile Canadian businessmen and women.
