Media Advisory - Town of Stratford and IBC Hosting a Rain Barrel Giveaway Program on April 6, 2013

STRATFORD, PE, April 3, 2013 /CNW/ -

WHO/WHAT: The Town of Stratford and the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) are having a spring Rain Barrel Giveaway Program.

WHEN: Saturday, April 6, 9am-2pm

WHERE: Stratford Town Hall, 234 Shakespeare Drive, Stratford

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

This event is being held to continue IBC's and Town of Stratford's Rain Barrel Giveaway Program; this program is designed to help reduce the stress on Stratford's stormwater and sewer systems. Rain barrels can have a big impact on dealing with excess water, especially when a whole community comes together to use them. Hundreds of rain barrels will be distributed, free of charge, to Utility Customers within the Stratford municipality.

Please note: Priority will be given to Stratford Utility Customers, to allow us to measure the impact on infrastructure. However, if you are not on the municipal system, you can still sign up to the reservation list for the remaining barrels.

Additionally, if you have already received a rain barrel, you are eligible to receive a second one.
