Media Advisory - Troops returning to Valcartier: information hotline now
available

VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, Sept. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - From September 24 to mid November, 2009, media representatives will be able to obtain daily general information on the arrivals of Valcartier troops from Afghanistan by means of an information hotline. By calling the hotline, media representatives will have access to the following validated general information for the day:

    
    - Confirmation whether a return flight is scheduled or not during the
      day.
    - Confirmation whether a special media opportunity will be organized or
      not.
    - General information on the flight.
    

The hotline is accessible at 418-844-5000, ext. 4429. Information will be updated daily around 9:00 a.m. or whenever a significant change requiring an update is necessary.

Note: The information hotline will not replace media advisories that will always be sent when arrivals are opened to media. Media advisories will be posted on newswires at least 24 hours, but not exceeding 2 days before the event, in order to insure flight security.
