The TVO commissioned documentary by filmmaker Rosie Dransfeld is a rare glimpse into the hardships and desperation of society's marginalized as witnessed by David Woolfson, owner of the A1 Trading pawnshop in Edmonton. For 16 years Woolfson has been the lender of last resort to customers that frequent his shop including junkies desperate for $10, out-of-work men who have to pawn their tools, elderly ladies who need a bit of money for food, and compulsive spenders who just can't stay away.
