Media Advisory - U of T and KPMG in Canada to release new Patient Safety Report
Professor Ross Baker of U of T's Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation to share latest patient safety findings and recommendations
TORONTO, Nov. 6, 2015 /CNW/ - On Monday, November 9, the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME), in partnership with KPMG, will share University of Toronto Professor Ross Baker's latest report on Patient Safety.
The report examines what progress has been made in the ten years since the Canadian Adverse Events Study (CAES). The CAES, authored by Professor Baker, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QIPS) Program Director, and colleagues, identified significant patient safety issues in Canadian hospitals. The report will outline Professor Baker's recommendations for creating sustainable improvements in patient safety.
