Media Advisory - Unifor to donate $20,000 to North Point Douglas Women's Centre
WINNIPEG, Sept. 11, 2017 /CNW/ - Unifor will make a formal presentation of over $20,000 to the struggling North Point Douglas Women's Centre (NPDWC) to support programming.
At the Canadian Council meeting of Unifor last month, more than 900 delegates fundraised to help support the centre in the wake of deep funding cuts from Premier Brian Pallister.
"When right-wing governments attack community services, it is important to step up and do what we can to keep services alive," said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President.
