Media Advisory - Union to hold press conference on Parks Canada's decision to
contract out canal diving duties

PETERBOROUGH, ON, March 25 /CNW Telbec/ - The Union of Canadian Transportation Employees, a component of the Public Service Alliance of Canada which represents Parks Canada Agency workers, wants the agency to reverse its decision to eliminate the Trent-Severn Waterway dive team and contract out diving duties. UCTE will be holding a press conference to raise awareness on the negative impacts that contracting out these duties will have on taxpayers and public safety and to propose some possible solutions.
