Media Advisory - Unveiling of the Monument Inspired by Alfred Laliberté's Le député arrivant à Québec Français
The Government of Canada supports a public art installation that commemorates a seminal moment in Quebec history
QUÉBEC, July 5, 2018 /CNW/ - The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Member of Parliament (Québec), will deliver remarks at the unveiling of a monument inspired by Alfred Laliberté's sculpture Le député arrivant à Québec on Friday. The monument is being erected as part of the 225th anniversary of Quebec's parliamentary institutions. Minister Duclos will speak on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage.
The unveiling will include more than 300 parliamentarians from across la Francophonie, who will be in Quebec as part of the 44th session of the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie.
