VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, Nov. 25, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the return of a platoon of some thirty Valcartier personnel from Haiti on Tuesday.
As part of a Brazilian battalion on the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), soldiers from 2nd Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment, have helped to promote security and stability in Haiti since June. Under Operation HAMLET, they have, for example, conducted patrols, provided security at checkpoints, escorted convoys and secured various places and roads.

Media will be met at the main gate, Valcartier Garrison, at 3:50 p.m. From there, journalists will be escorted to the muster area, where they will be able to talk with the military families until the buses carrying the soldiers from the airport arrives at about 4:45 p.m. All interviews with the Op HAMLET troops will take place at Valcartier Base.
