What: On Tuesday, November 17, Vancouver Airport Authority will announce Vancouver International Airport's operational changes and preparedness for the 2010 Winter Games. A media conference will be held post-security, followed by a de-icing demonstration of an Air Canada Boeing 767 aircraft. The Airport Authority's new snow removal equipment will also be on display with spokespeople available to explain the new snow removal procedures. When: Tuesday, November 17, 2009 Where: 10:00 a.m. Registration at Vancouver International Airport: - International Terminal, Departures Level, 3 East Concourse, below the Fairmont Hotel 10:15 a.m. Media bus departs and is escorted airside to International Terminal (late arrivals cannot be accommodated) 10:30 a.m. Media conference and Q&A session 11:30 a.m. De-icing demonstration on airfield 12:45 p.m. Buses return to East Concourse Who: Paul Levy, Vice President, Planning 2010 Olympic & Paralympic Games, and Don Ehrenholz, Vice President, Airport Operations, Vancouver Airport Authority; along with representatives from Air Canada and VANOC will provide details on the operational changes and preparedness at YVR for the 2010 Winter Games. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- (xxx) IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION (xxx) This event is post-security and pre-registration is required for security reasons.
