Media Advisory - Vancouver container truckers to hold demonstration
VANCOUVER, March 20, 2014 /CNW/ - Container truck drivers will hold a rally in downtown Vancouver to protest the BC government's March 19 announcement that it will introduce forced-work legislation.
"Truck drivers, like everyone else, deserve to be able to make a living. That is all this dispute has ever been about," said Paul Johal, President of Unifor-Vancouver Container Truckers' Association (VCTA). "We simply want to negotiate a deal that will benefit all parties."
Unifor National President Jerry Dias will be participating in the rally.
