VANCOUVER, March 15 /CNW/ - The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC), together with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), will announce tomorrow the permanent home of the infamous gold medal winning puck that Canada's Sidney Crosby swept between US goalie Ryan Miller's pads in the overtime period of the February 28th Olympic gold medal game. The puck was retrieved following joint efforts by the IIHF, VANOC and the Hockey Hall Of Fame and is currently at the IIHF offices in Switzerland.
Four overtime pucks from the men's gold medal game, including authenticity certificates, which are being added to the public auction of other 2010 Games sport memorabilia vancouvcer2010.com, will also be on display.
The game winning goal puck announcement and overtime pucks display will be take place in downtown Vancouver at GM Place, the venue for the gold medal game.
