About the Royal Canadian Legion
Established in 1926, The Royal Canadian Legion is Canada's largest Veteran support and community service organization with 300,000 members in Canada. Its mission is to serve Veterans, which includes serving Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP members and their families; to promote Remembrance; and to serve our communities and our country. The Legion's Service Bureau's network provides assistance and representation to all veterans with their disability benefits, benefits and services from Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Review and Appeal Board. The Legion is perpetuating the Remembrance through the Remembrance Day ceremonies and the Poppy Campaign in communities across Canada. With over 1400 branches across Canada, the Legion makes a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families, provides essential services within our communities, and remembers the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country.
