Media Advisory - VP NBC News Mark Lukasiewicz to discuss "What's Next for
Broadcast News" at Canadian Journalism Foundation event
TORONTO, Nov. 8 /CNW/ - Mark Lukasiewicz, VP of NBC News and Digital Media, will be in Toronto on Tuesday, November 16 to discuss "What's Next for Broadcast News" at a Canadian Journalism Foundation event. One of a number of Canadians who've established successful journalism careers in the United States, Lukasiewicz has seen TV news ride a few tech storm waves, from the rise and fall of the dot.com era to today's radically redefined multi-channel universe. Yet while the mediums may change, he says, there will always be a demand for quality journalism.
WHEN: Tuesday, November 16 Presentation 6:30 p.m. / Reception 8:00 p.m.
WHERE: Innis Town Hall, 2 Sussex Ave., Toronto
WHO: Mark Lukasiewicz was named to the dual role of vice president, NBC News Specials and Digital Media, in June 2009. As head of NBC News Specials, he has broad responsibility for all special news productions on MSNBC and NBC News, including live election coverage, major planned news events and breaking news specials. In the digital arena, he oversees all of NBC News' digital platform programming, supervising the NBC News relationship with its internet joint venture, MSNBC.com, as well as NBC news content on many other digital platforms.
