Media Advisory - Watchdog group to issue first report card on Harper
government action against contraband cigarettes
OTTAWA, May 25 /CNW/ - The National Coalition Against Contraband Tobacco (NCACT) will issue its first report card on the progress the Harper government has made on battling the spread of contraband tobacco and the organized crime groups behind its distribution.
NCACT members including the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, the Customs and Immigration Union and the Federation des chambres de commerce du Quebec will present the report, which rates the Harper government in six important areas including: youth protection, penalties and sentencing, public education, fiscal responsibility, border security and resources for law enforcement.
