MEDIA ADVISORY - WEST of Windsor receives the CMA Canada National Recognition Award for their support of newcomer accountants
WINDSOR, ON, April 3, 2012 /CNW/ - Media are invited to attend the award ceremony as Certified Management Accountants of Ontario present the CMA Canada National Recognition Award to Women's Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. (WEST). WEST received the award in recognition of the Management Training Program (MTP). In partnership with the University of Windsor-Odette School of Business, MTP provides the educational training to help female internationally trained accountants qualify for the CMA accreditation process and be gainfully employed in the accounting field in Canada. The program is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration (MCI).
Merv Hillier, MBA, FCMA, C. Dir., CMC, President and CEO of CMA Ontario will present the award to Rose Anguiano Hurst, Executive Director of WEST. In recognition of their partnership in the program, Dr. H. Allan Conway, Dean of the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor and President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Alan Wildeman will be in attendance.
