Media Advisory - WIND MOBILE EMPLOYEES PLAY HOOKY FOR THE DAY

WIND Mobile employees will help make this holiday season nicer for families in need by volunteering with local charities

TORONTO, Nov. 17 /CNW/ - In the spirit of the holidays, WIND Mobile is continuing its Random Acts of Kindness program.  Toronto employees will spend the day preparing food hampers at the Daily Bread food bank to help bring a little holiday cheer to families in need, on November 17^th.

"The holiday season provides the perfect opportunity to bring back our Random Acts of Kindness program," said Anthony Lacavera, Chairman of WIND Mobile. "This year, WIND's holiday campaign is "Naughty or Nice" so we are encouraging our staff to be nice by giving back to the community in each of our markets."

WIND Mobile initiated Random Acts of Kindness when its launch was delayed last fall by the CRTC. The upstart wireless company asked employees to use their time to give back to the community. The good deeds ranged from cleaning-up local parks, to pumping gas and handing out refreshments. WIND Mobile also helped the Daily Bread Food Bank reach its largest volunteer day in history when 150 employees assembled holiday food bags for families in need.

In Toronto, both WIND Mobile and Globalive (WIND's parent company) employees will be volunteering at the Daily Bread Food Bank, a non-profit, charitable organization that is fighting to end hunger in our communities. Throughout the holiday season WIND will be employing 'Nice Squads' around select store locations to help shoppers carry bags, open doors, and make their shopping experience a little bit nicer.
