Media Advisory - World Series of Poker® Circuit Event (WSOPC) returns to the River Rock Casino Resort, Richmond BC, Oct.27-Nov.7
RICHMOND, BC, Sept. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - For the second year in a row, World Series of Poker (WSOP) will be making a Circuit stop at the River Rock Casino Resort from Oct.27 until Nov. 7 with an estimated prize pool of $3 million.
"The success of the 2012 WSOP Circuit tournament at the River Rock Casino Resort was remarkable and we look forward to hosting this exciting poker event again this year," said Jim Wall, General Manager, Casino Operations, River Rock Casino Resort.
Last year, River Rock Casino's WSOP Circuit events recorded a number of achievements and firsts of the season which included presenting the third largest Main Event of the eighteen stop tour with 1,032 entries, as well as hosting the largest Turbo Event with 381 players. In addition, the River Rock tournament had the largest $1,000 No Limit Hold'em Event with 354 participants while John Crncic, winner of the WSOP's Main Event, took home the third largest payday of the Circuit season totaling $286,382.

This is the tenth season of WSOP Circuit and buy-ins range from $365 to $1675. Participants will compete for the shot at one million dollars and a gold bracelet at the National Championships which have been confirmed to take place at Caesars Atlantic City in May, 2014.
World Series of Poker is the longest-running and one of the most prestigious gaming events which dates back to 1970.
