OTTAWA, Feb. 25, 2015 /CNW/ - Close to 130 young farmers are getting ready to meet in Ottawa for a national annual conference next week. The Canadian Young Farmers Forum has prepared a robust agenda focused on the theme Family Farming 2.0. – Preparing for 2050.
On the verge of a federal election, young farm leaders are standing together and tackling important discussions about revitalization and growth across Canada's agriculture sector. Among other speakers, young Nova Scotia egg farmer, Blake Jennings, will talk to his peers about his farm that is almost entirely reliant on wind energy.
Members of the media are invited to attend the conference and hear the stories, aspirations and challenges of young farmers, and the actions being taken by this generation to ensure a vibrant and successful sector for many years to come.
