TORONTO, Oct 4 /CNW/ - On Tuesday October 5th, YWCA Toronto will celebrate an important initiative that is helping to improve the physical and social infrastructure of Toronto. The Honourable Deb Matthews, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, and YWCA representatives will unveil the cornerstone of the new YWCA Elm Centre.

The YWCA Elm Centre will provide 300 new, affordable homes for women and women-led families. Currently under construction, completion is expected in mid 2011. YWCA Toronto is the city's trusted multi-service organization by, for and about women and girls.
