Former pros join forces with community members at Canadian Cancer Society Put Cancer On Ice fundraising event
TORONTO, Nov. 17 /CNW/ - The coolest hockey tournament in the city, the Canadian Cancer Society Put Cancer On Ice event will see hockey enthusiasts and several members of the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni take to the ice this weekend. Through this event, local men and women will raise funds and play hockey in support of cancer research, information and community-based services for people living with cancer.
On Sunday, the top 12 individual fundraisers will play in an exclusive game with and against former members of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Supporters are invited to enjoy the games with the Maple Leafs, Carlton the Bear and have an opportunity to see the Stanley Cup, plus lots of other fun activities throughout the day.
