MONTREAL, Oct. 29, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - As they prepare to launch an innovation district in Montreal (Quartier de l'innovation or « QI »), École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) and McGill University are organizing the 2nd Montreal Summit on Innovation, in collaboration with the City of Montreal. The event will focus on innovative districts.
Experts and representatives of innovative district projects from Brazil, Canada, the U.S., the U. K., France, Spain and Russia are among the speakers. The objective of the conference is to discuss best practices on the conception, the operation and governance, as well as the impact assessment of such projects so as to identify successes or challenges. Another objective is to establish, through this event, an international network of experts on issues pertaining to innovative districts that will benefit the QI and similar projects around the world.
