Announcement of financial support from the Government of Québec for the MACH initiative
MONTRÉAL, March 4, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - Aéro Montréal invites media representatives to attend the unveiling of major recommendations and orientations put forward by the aeronautics industry to promote diversified skills and fair employment practices within organizations in the sector, on Monday, March 9, 2020, at 10 a.m., at the École de technologie supérieure.
On this occasion, Jean Boulet, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity and Minister responsible for the Mauricie region, will announce financial support for the MACH initiative designed to assist SMEs in skills development.
A strong, qualified and diversified workforce is a powerful driver for performance and innovation – factors essential for companies to continue to grow and stand out on the world stage. More than 34,000 positions will need to be filled in Québec's aerospace sector over the next 10 years. The industry is working to develop a concerted strategy to address major workforce challenges, particularly in terms of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
