OTTAWA, March 2, 2020 /CNW/ - The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is hosting a National Climate Gathering on March 3-4, 2020, at the Coast High Country Inn, in Whitehorse, Yukon. The Gathering will bring together First Nations experts, leadership, youth, women, knowledge keepers and other professionals to work on the most urgent crisis of our time - climate change.

The National Climate Gathering will be an important event in advancing First Nations climate-leadership. The Gathering aims to facilitate information sharing on ideas, perspectives and actions to inform the development of a new approach to addressing the climate crisis, one that positions climate and the environment as inseparable from the daily experience of First Nations.
