MONTREAL , Oct. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) will hold its Young Entrepreneur Awards ceremony in Ottawa on October 20 .

A highlight of Small Business Week, BDC's Young Entrepreneur Awards recognize the achievements of Canadian business people between the ages of 19 and 35. Under the theme " Your dream, your business, your passion", BDC will honour winning businesses across Canada . Two special awards will be granted to the winners whose businesses stand out in terms of export results and social responsibility practices.

"Meet the experts" speed networking event

During a speed networking event in Ottawa , the Young Entrepreneur Awards winners will have the opportunity to receive professional council from 11 business experts from Deloitte, EDC, Border Ladner Gervais, and BDC. Each winner will meet with each of the experts for a one-on-one 10-minute interview that will concentrate on the specific challenges each business has yet to face. The exchanges will focus on 11 key business management aspects among which finance, research & development, corporate social responsibility, international market development, human resources, expansion financing and operational efficiency.
