BURLINGTON, ON, June 2, 2017 /CNW/ - Contractor Brian McCourt, co-host of HGTV's Backyard Builds and expert on this season of Home To Win, will join Habitat for Humanity Halton-Mississauga (HFHHM) and CUMIS Group Limited on Tuesday, June 6th for HFHHM's inaugural Playhouse Build-a-thon Challenge.
From June 6th-8th, HFHHM will partner with CUMIS Group Limited to host their first Playhouse Build-a-thon Challenge. Each day, four teams of five people will be on-site competing to assemble, paint and decorate the best child-sized playhouse. Teams will be able to choose from four themes to use as inspiration. The completed playhouses will be judged based on the quality of the build, their use of creativity, the sale-ability of the finished product and amount of fun they had while completing it. At the end of the three days, a first-place prize will be presented to the top team. The playhouse deemed the best will be auctioned off at HFHHM's Annual Golf Classic on June 22. The remaining playhouses will be taken to HFHHM's ReStore locations in Burlington, Milton and Mississauga to be sold to help build affordable Habitat homes for hard-working, low-income families in need.
Brian McCourt's visit on Tuesday will give teams the opportunity to ask him for advice, tips and tricks on how to make their playhouse one-of-a-kind. Media are invited to attend on Tuesday, June 6th for interviews and pictures with Brian and build participants between 11am and 1pm.
