OTTAWA, March 29 /CNW Telbec/ - Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief Shawn A-in-chut Atleo with members of the AFN Executive Council will host a press conference Monday to support the continuation of the Aboriginal Healing Foundation beyond March 31, 2010.

The Aboriginal Healing Foundation provides resources to First Nations, Inuit and Métis people and communities that promote reconciliation and support in building and reinforcing sustainable healing processes that address the legacy of physical, sexual, mental, cultural and spiritual abuses in the residential school system, including intergenerational impacts. The 2010 federal Budget did not re-invest in the Aboriginal Healing Foundation.
