Media are invited to join police officers on a walk-through the parking lot of CF Lime Ridge mall in Hamilton as officers check for unsecured vehicles
TORONTO, Dec. 3, 2019 /CNW/ - The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) will team up with the Insurance Bureau of Canada and Accident Support Service International to kick off the annual OACP Lock It OR Lose It Campaign, a proactive, province-wide crime prevention program that encourages motorists and passengers to take a few simple precautions to protect their vehicles and valuables from theft – especially during the holiday season. This year's launch will again highlight what "Bad Santas" look for when seeking unsecured vehicles.

Police leaders and officers from the Hamilton Police Service and other police services will kick off the OACP's annual province-wide crime prevention campaign targeting auto thefts and valuables in unsecured vehicles.
Police will display two vehicles – a secured one that detracts would-be thieves and another vehicle that would be an attractive target – as part of the launch. Police Officers will also be going out into the CF Lime Ridge mall parking lot to check on vehicles following the media event.
