Media advisory: Canada Post pays tribute to the remarkable story of Mona Parsons

WOLFVILLE, NS, Oct. 30, 2023 /CNW/ - Canada Post invites you to attend the unveiling of its annual Remembrance Day stamp honouring the remarkable courage and perseverance of Mona Parsons, who was born in Middleton, N.S. and raised in Wolfville.

During the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, Parsons helped downed airmen escape back to England. She was arrested and became the only female Canadian citizen to be imprisoned by the Nazis during the war.

The stamp will be unveiled on Monday, November 6, and officially issued on Tuesday, November 7.
