Events will address journalism and online safety, public policy, and trust; and the independent production sector and how the creative community can support it
VANCOUVER, BC, Jan. 12, 2023 /CNW/ - CBC/Radio-Canada President and CEO Catherine Tait will join industry experts and leaders at two events at Vancouver's Simon Fraser University on Tuesday, January 17.
The first event will focus on journalism and online safety, public policy, and trust. Guest panellists will include:
- Jeanette Ageson, Publisher, The Tyee
- Wendy Hui Kyong Chun, Canada 150 Research Chair / Professor, Simon Fraser University
- Jeremy Kinsman, Distinguished Fellow, The Canadian International Council
- Linda Solomon Wood, Publisher, National Observer
Anita Bathe, host of CBC Vancouver News at 6, will moderate.

The second event, presented in partnership with Creative BC, the Indigenous Screen Office, and CMPA-BC, will look at how the creative community can work together to support a healthy Canadian production sector. Guest panellists will include:

- Erin Haskett, President and Executive Producer, Lark Productions, and Chair, CMPA Board of Directors
Prem Gill, CEO of Creative BC, will moderate.
