Media Advisory - Ceremony in Ottawa to launch commemorations marking 75th anniversary of the Italian Campaign

OTTAWA, Nov. 25, 2019 /CNW/ - Veterans Affairs Canada is hosting a ceremony in Ottawa to launch its commemorations marking the 75^th anniversary of Canada's participation in the Italian Campaign during the Second World War. Veterans of the Italian Campaign will attend and may be available to media.

Along with the 75^th anniversary of the Italian Campaign, 2019 marks the 75^th anniversaries of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy and the Battle of the Scheldt, as well as the 5^th anniversary of the end of Canada's Mission in Afghanistan.
