Media Advisory - Chez Doris will Celebrate its 10th Annual Tea Time Fundraising Event at the Ritz-Carlton Montreal Français
MONTRÉAL, May 3, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - On Sunday, May 5, 2019, Chez Doris will hold its 10th Annual Tea Time Fundraiser, which will bring together more than 300 supporters, for a splendid afternoon at the Ritz-Carlton Montréal in support of a great cause. On this occasion, Chez Doris will pay tribute to the generosity of one of its major partners: Hockey Helps the Homeless.
Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH) leverages Canada's affinity for hockey to raise awareness and financial support for the homeless through education, fundraising and by partnering with local agencies which help the homeless. HHTH hosts hockey tournaments across Canada where players raise funds that make a direct impact in their own community. Montreal has one of the largest annual tournaments and has raised $1.836 million since 2014 and has steadfastly supported Chez Doris over the years.
This event will also provide an occasion for Chez Doris to present its plans for its new overnight emergency shelter.
A silent auction and raffle will take place during the afternoon. Funds raised from the event will go towards ongoing operating costs to assist homeless and vulnerable women as well as help launch new services.
