TORONTO, July 14, 2021 /CNW/ - According to a recent CIBC poll, only 39 per cent of Canadians who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community have a written legal will, below the national average of 47 per cent. To help close this gap and ensure that all Canadians feel secure with their financial future, CIBC is hosting a free webinar on July 21, 2021, at 2 p.m. ET. The webinar will feature CIBC experts covering essential tax and estate planning conversations and addressing commonly-asked questions from members of the LGBTQ+ community. The English webinar (with simultaneous French translation) will be hosted by Carissa Lucreziano, CIBC Vice-President, Financial and Investment Advice.
"No matter ones' life stage, having a tax and estate plan can help protect the things they have worked so hard to achieve," says Lucreziano.
The webinars will focus on the following topics:
- Financial realities and opportunities facing the LGBTQ+ community
- Real-life story of one family's tax and estate planning journey
- In-depth look at the unique aspects that should be considered when planning for tax and estate matters
- Live Q&A with CIBC experts
Space is limited. Reserve your spot today by registering for the webinars here. By registering you can also receive access to watch the webinar on-demand. Additional resources on estate planning are also available on the CIBC website.
