LONDON, ON, Sept. 24, 2024 /CNW/ - Workers at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Thames Valley – the members of OPSEU/SEFPO Local 133 - will join with community members for a "sick procession" to stop cuts and to advocate for the future of the agency and the crucial services they provide.
With nearly 100 positions eliminated, growing waitlists, an overwhelmed intake process, and a worsening homelessness crisis, conditions at CMHA Thames Valley are at a crisis point – and lives are at risk.
The procession will occur outside the Best Western where the leadership of CMHA Thames Valley will be holding a public meeting.
