MEDIA ADVISORY: DEBUT CONFERENCE ON INNOVATION IN CANADA'S RESOURCE SECTORS
CALGARY, Oct. 22 /CNW/ - Leading Canadian authorities in the private, public and academic sectors are gathering today in Calgary to explore productivity, sustainability and competitiveness in Canada's resource industries. This is the first such gathering focused exclusively on showcasing exceptional resource innovation taking place in Canada today in the mining, oil and gas, and forestry industries.
The lunchtime keynote and closing session are open to all media. Avrim Lazar, President and CEO of the Forest Products Association of Canada will deliver a keynote on Innovation in Public Engagement to all participants from 11:30 to 1pm. From 2:15 to 3pm the closing session will provide a summary of the day including setting the next steps by CEO of Laricina Energy, Glen Schmidt and conference chair, Elizabeth Cannon.
