Media Advisory - Deep Space Food Challenge - Canadian teams present food technology prototypes to jury Français
LONGUEUIL, QC, Jan. 16, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - Over the next few weeks, Canadian teams competing in Phase 2 of the Deep Space Food Challenge, a competition to develop new technologies to produce food for future space missions, will meet with members of the jury to present their prototypes.
The technologies developed and built by the semi-finalists could help feed astronauts travelling to the Moon and Mars while expanding food production in harsh environments on Earth. Up to four Canadian teams will move on to become Phase 3 finalists, where they will have 12 months to build and demonstrate a full-scale food production technology.
