VANCOUVER, Nov. 16 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to attend a national conference, Ideas in Action, designed to provide nearly 200 Certified Canadian Immigration Consultants (CCICs) with valuable education and unique perspectives on the state of immigration in Canada. The regulator of immigration consultants, the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants, is co-hosting the conference with the Canadian Migration Institute.
To mark the occasion CBC news anchor and Gemini award winner Ian Hanomansing will deliver a keynote address on his personal immigration experience and his thoughts about the Canadian immigration tradition.
The educational sessions during the two-day conference will cover many emerging issues in immigration, including Discussing Critical Practice Areas, The Regulation of Immigration Consultants in Quebec and How to Stay One Step Ahead of Legislative Changes.

The Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants is the professional regulatory body for Certified Canadian Immigration Consultants. Established in 2004 it currently has nearly 1,800 members. CSIC's mandate is to protect consumers of immigration consulting services. Consequently, it is responsible for ensuring the education, competency testing and the discipline of its members.
