Atlantic Canada is a leading-edge example of implementing practical solutions to address the carbon challenge. This event organized by the Energy Council of Canada will be an opportunity to hear from energy leaders across the region in a program of keynote presentations and thematic sessions. Each session includes an open forum for discussion of the learnings from actions to date, on the remaining issues, and on possible ways to address them.
The event will start on November 21 with an opening reception and keynote address by Halifax Mayor Mike Savage.
On November 22, the program features keynote presentations by the Honourable Frank McKenna, Bruce Anderson, and Annette Verschuren, and four sessions, each followed by an open dialogue with all participants.
With 80 members from across Canada's energy sector, the Energy Council of Canada is a non-profit organization dedicated to achieving an affordable, stable and environmentally-sound energy system providing the greatest benefit for all Canadians.
